Does EE7 run on MySQL 8?

does EE 7.3.x run fine on MySQL 8? The system requirements say it works with MySQL 5.6 or later (and I’m currently running the specific site on 5.7.42 at AWS).
I did find an article from 5 years ago (https://u.expressionengine.com/article/mysql-8-and-expressionengine-tips-for-the-trailblazers) … but I wasn’t sure if this is still required, or the latest version of EE now ‘just works’ with MySQL 8.
Yes, both 6 and 7 should run fine with no additional concerns. Older versions might/might not need the tweak depending on the server setup.
