Can you give any hints on what is coming up in 3.5?
I would think CP search improvement is fairly critical and should be fast-tracked.
My opinion is also that the new features may be getting too heavily weighted to the dev and not enough to the potential end-user. What great features implemented for us or addon makers, are worthless if you can’t match the product to the client’s needs. If you are going to pitch a client how great EE is for organizing their content, then you show them that ineffective CP search for site’s with any volume of content, you look foolish and the product looks inadequate.
Blogs, online publications, or just large sites as a whole need to be able to filter by category, status etc. to reflect flagging of entries, or other standard workflow/organizational issues like drafts etc. as just a start.
I would also like the ability to limit searches in the CP by titles only, by entry content only, or in both. Even when I filter by channel and category, I can’t get as granular as I’d like.
I’d like to add that it would also be nifty to bulk-edit some attributes of entries (status, date, title, etc.) like I could in EE2.
(Forgot to mention: I’m running EE 3.5.2 and am not able to see either bulk editing functionality, or search limiting, in the CP.)
