Great add-on! Got it working in MAMP, but some weirdness on the live server. After submitting my settings in the extension I get the following error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CONST, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or ‘}’ in /home/sites/mydomain.co.uk/public_html/admin/lib/analytics_panel/gapi.class.php on line 29

Any ideas folks?

My bad. I was running PHP 4. Switched to PHP 5 and all is fine.

I have a strange issue. I have uploaded all appropriate files to the correct locations in system folder but when I go to the extentions tab to install it displays the GitHub download page. My other extensions are listed at the very bottom of the page but the not the GA extension.

Any one else have this issue? I’m a newbie so it’s probably something really stupid!

Any help appreciated.

Thanks!

JAM1515 - can’t say I’ve seen this problem before. Are saying that the whole EE Extensions screen has been replaced by the Analytics Panel GitHub page?

Yes - weird huh? If I scroll to the bottom of that page the other extensions do show up as normal but the GA extension is missing. I’ve double check all the files to make sure they are in the correct locations. I’m using EE 1.6.8.

What happens if you disable all other extensions?

not sure but I don’t want to try that… it’ll shut down the site.

Fair enough … an extension conflict is all I can think of though, so it’s hard to test without disabling. Did you try re-downloading the extension files and uploading again? Could be file corruption.

Is there any way of using the data collected by this extension in templates? For example, # of visits today and yesterday?

Adam - not right now. Wouldn’t be hard to add some global variables though - I’ll think on that one.

Any ideas on converting it for EE2.0? 😊

Yup - it will become an accessory (when I have time!). Hasn’t seemed too urgent to me, as I’m not using 2.0 for any client work yet.

I had a similar problem with a different extension…it would show the github page. I later realized there was an error displayed when I scrolled down. So you are probably getting an error for some reason.

This one has given me a major headache this evening. Installed the extension fine, added my account information and could see the Analytics Panel on my CP Home screen. However, it totally screwed my Plugins Manager. Every time I tried to visit the Plugins Manager I just got a blank page.

It took me 3 installs of EE this evening, installing extensions and modules one by one to be able to see that it was this extension that caused the issue. :s I even recorded the order that I installed everything.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I’m running EE 1.6.8 and PHP 5.2.6.

Thanks, Neil

Neil - never heard of this one before. Does it screw your Plugins page regardless of what (or if any) plugins are installed? i.e. try removing everything from your plugins folder and see if it still doesn’t load?
