heh, this shows that 2.0 is more than waited. But guess there is 1.6.5 first coming…

I think about it just yesterday 😊 , but for me, it more strong feeling than “waiting for Christmas”. I was not waiting gift from Santa in childhood, like I wait for EEv2 now.
p.s. understanding “summer”, can be different by countries. For me – it’s 1.06-31.08 so, now, with news that “summer” can be till 26.09… oh… it will unhappy time :(…

I don’t know. I am excited about 2.0 as well, but I’d much rather wait for a complete product than a ‘rushed to production’ version.
This is a complete change being a whole PR update. I have absolutely no problem waiting, and am still excited.
As all of us are developers at some level we should appreciate that sometimes things don’t hit deadlines. And if you say you’ve enver missed a deadline with an update of a huge magnitude, well, you’re lying 😊

Can we have an updated canwehaveexpressionengine2yet site? Sheesh, seems like everyone is having delays.
Hey, any idea when 1.6.5 is going to be out? (Yeah, I know, that joke got old about 22 posts ago).
I am glad the delay announcement was made. I just started designing a new site today (using the Boyink tutorials). I haven’t learned anything exciting yet, but I peeked ahead and know he covers stuff I have no idea on.
Anyway, I think a lot of people were in the same boat as me, holding off on back burner ideas to have something to learn EE 2.0 with. I know there was no reason to wait, but if all my sites are done, what would I have to do when 2.0 came out?
No need to wait.

Only if you plotting to take over the world… which I most definitely possibly not doing.
Surprisingly its doing quite well for a few dollars of funny, its gets about 90-100 hits a day.
And it seems to be spurring a number of copy cats… so that also is a measure of its success.
