I hate to spend the money, BUT I hate my Blackberry Pearl and visual voice mail got me. I’m willing to pay top dollar if I can avoid having to call my voice mail to get my messages.
I’m not entirely stoked about all the other fluff although I’m sure I’ll spend the evening toying around.

We have to wait until 2008 for ours in Australia.
There will probably be a v.2 out by then, hopefully with GPS built in 😊

Not having Flash (or Java) is probably a good thing, they’re both resource hogs and battery drainers. I recall reading that in reality, there is only one phone on the market that includes Flash because of that. Adobe hasn’t been able to produce a nice light version.
As far as YouTube, Google is transcoding all those videos to H264 for the iPhone and iTV. I guess it’s far more efficient, better quality and less resource intensive.

PXLated, this is a critical issue. Please obtain iPhones for the EllisLab team so we can test immediately. Thanks.

Leslie I heard (or read somewhere) you can’t use an iPhone where you’re moving. So I get first dibs on Leslie’s iPhone. Nevermind I’m not part of the team.

Sorry Les…they’re saying one per customer otherwise you know I would 😊

Two, actually.

The line in Lincoln was only 9 an hour ago. But I’m resisting temptation since there really isn’t AT&T service in Bend currently.

Ingmar…Two at Apple stores, one at AT&T stores. I’m out/about and no Apple stores close. So, sorry boys, you’re SOL.

Ah, well. We only get them later this year. I am curious how they will adapt to the European market, which is a bit different from the American one, after all.

Well… I just drove up to one of our local stores thinking there was little chance of there being a line…
It was 29 deep and growing with the local news just unpacking to do some reporting. It’s storming too!
I’m gonna go back at 6 o’ clock when they open.

I’m waiting until someone hacks it so I can tether to my Mac for FTP access. Can’t give up my Verizon EVDO until then. Unless AT&T will make me a deal on a second cheapy phone just for that purpose.

Okay, I’m really not this big of a geek and I really don’t know why I’m typing this… but I did stand in line for 2.5 hours and we ended up getting the last two 8 gig models in the store. :red:
We played with one in the store and so far, it’s as cool as the online videos.
