They really go into a lot of detail in that doc…must read if your interested in having your site, including media, work on the iPhone.

From what I’ve read tonight and according to Apple’s iPhone finder, they already have their shipments for tomorrow and will be available…at least at all the Mpls locations listed. Too bad I’m not close to one at the moment.
——-Back to the topic…will be interesting to see what sites work with the tapping and which don’t. We can then probably figure out what they are focusing on.
Edit-Add: How do the forums look?
Trying a test forum post on iPhone. 😊
Edit: actually the double tap works very well. Here in the forums if I double tap an avatar by someones username it focuses and zooms into that box quite well. The forums are very usable on here 😊

I was able to post to the forums pretty easily on my iPhone. I was able to dbl-tap my way around and rotate the screen to see everything. Definitely workable.

After reading the Apple docs, I can see the forums (tables) as not being too much of a problem as you found. There is no file upload/download so posting images/files to a weblog (or the forum) is out. Sites with wide text could be a problem and require the reader to scroll a lot whereas a two or three column layout will zoom and be more readable.
Since there is no image/file upload, the MoBlog would work as you can send pics via email. Time to dust off the old MoBlog again.
