Congratulations !  Site looks great, and cant get wait for everyone to begin getting EE2 and running wild with it.

On a side note - The homepage video doesn’t seem to work on Google Chrome?

Our Chrome Ninjas (and possibly pirates) are working on it.

One question, does this 2.1 now have the patch to convert any gallery modules?

No, but that is definitely on the to do list.

Please move this where it should go in the new forums, or send it along to the patch up crew and delete from here; thanks.

    Hi Kurt,

Most of it is ghost content that should have been removed. I’ve flagged this post for our post_launch_clean_up_list 😊

Also, see you on Sunday! Looking forward to catching up in person.

Thanks Leslie. I have at least one client that will update first thing when it’s out. I know that you dont have dates with releases but can you put some scale to it?

I already informed my clients cos i pre-thought that it has so i would be more than happy if i get some info about when so that i can inform clients (before they rush and update 1.6.9 licenses). My bad that i went hyping without solid info about that patch tho :/

Thanks anyways, i got my “brainstorm” back instatly when i read that 2.1 is out and all upcoming things might be very interesting in all EE field. (among the Forum Module perhaps in next winter…i at least wish that 😛 )

A big cheer all around - and a celebratory haircut Leslie 😊

The main support page http://expressionengine.com/support/ has some HTML errors and the sidebar content is out of kilter.

Regarding the front page video. Getting some very weird results from that thing.

In Safari for Windows it works fine.
In Chrome the sound is choppy.
In Firefox 3.6.6 I hear no audio whatsoever.
In IE 8 it doesn’t play at all.

Maybe drop the video until it gets fixed?

Not everyone is experiencing the above. We suspect the issue is with a caching mechanism at the server level and we’re looking into it. For example, on my Windows install:

    Safari - perfect
Chrome - doesn’t work at all
    Firefox - perfect
    IE 8 - perfect

So its not consistent and we need it live to test (everything worked perfect prior to launch on all modern browsers).

    Minor auto-email buglet:

When this error is generated (I recently moved to Poland and tried to upgrade my forum module)

    RE: Invalid Country Match {42509}

The auto-generated email does not include my member name. Here’s what the email looked like:

Please include {42509} in the subject when responding.

    Hello, ,

Thank you for considering ExpressionEngine! We answer sales emails we receive between 8:30am and 11am Pacific Time the same business day.

I think that should say “Hello, Bill the Grue, “

Congratulations EllisLab team! In the meantime tho, I think maybe the placeholder image for the vid on the homepage has to be changed? I believe those two are from Basecamp’s video testimonials.

lealea, that shouldn’t be showing to you, but we appear to have some CDN caching issues.  If you refresh, does it change?  What browser and OS are you using, too, please.

Much faster than expected. At an EE Meetup not too long ago, everyone was estimating a late summer or fall release. I knew something was in effect when the ExpressionEngine site was down.

    Thanks Ellislab!
