One question, where are third party devs to hang out / push test code / discuss addons etc? From what I can see those areas are completely missing from the new forums…

The Development and Programming is the place to discuss add-on development.

aha, just saw that… so all addons together, plugins, extensions, modules, accessories, fieldtypes?
