I would like to see the option to redirect after registration.

Thanks for the feedback, CN. That does sound like a useful addition. We’re freezing new features on this plugin for a bit while we focus on other project work, but if there’s demand for this feature we’ll certainly look at including it in a future release.

Does this extension work for sites doing a Multiple Domain Login and forum logins?

Works great. Love the new feature to direct to the last page visited. The perfect compliment to this would be to have a redirect for logging out that also takes the visitor to the last page visited.

Thanks for this great extension. It’s a very welcome addition!! 😊

I just installed the latest version of this module and it seems to work great when logging in from the main EE installation but if I try to login from the forums it behaves quite strange. After login from the forum page it takes me to a blank page. If I then go to a forum page I am logged in. I am using MSM, forum module, and have a custom login page that uses a jquery modal box.

Thanks for the kudos, Rob! I’m glad people are finding this extension helpful. I made a note for the “last page after logout” feature request; that’d be a good addition.

We haven’t tested this in MSM/multi-site setups, multi-domain configurations, or with forums. If you’re using any or all of those, the current version may not be a good fit. We’ll test these configurations and try to sort out any issues for the next release.

Hi Corey,

I just wanted to report that, like Mike Young, the plugin seems to be working great for the weblog install, but isn’t working with MSM forums/multidomain logins. I’m looking forward to your next release so I can take advantage of those new features.

Jacob, thanks for the confirmation. We’ll work on compatibility with MSM, multi-domain, and forums. The next release isn’t currently scheduled as we’re booked up with client work at the moment (so don’t hold any projects waiting for this change) but when we have a little more free time in the schedule we’ll look into these.

Let’s say the user is logged in and visits the registration page. Normally you get an error that says you are already logged in. Does this plugin redirect in this case?

Hey CN, a logged-in user who visits the registration page will see the normal user notice. (“You are already registered and logged in.”) This extension wouldn’t redirect them in that case.

Hi,

This is a great extension, I really like it!

However I have problem with the redirect to last page when I log in from my home page, basically it redirects to www.example.com/index instead of www.example.com/

I think the problem is because I use the widely known method of removing index.php using .htaccess.

Is there anything I can change so that it will just direct to the root folder when logging on from homepage?

thanks

Looks good, but I can’t use it until the forum login is fixed.

In the meanwhile I’m using this to redirect to the current page.

{exp:member:login_form return="{site_url}index.php/{segment_1}/{segment_2}/{segment_3}/{segment_4}"}

to redirect to the previous page, could you not just do return=”<?php $_SERVER[‘HTTP_REFERER’] ?>” ?

We built this extension to provide some additional control over behavior after user login or logout. It allows you to specify the following behaviors […] This extension may not work properly on sites using MSM/multisite or EE forums.

In case anyone was wondering, this extension even works in the Member Profile Page(s) … I’m running ExpressionEngine 1.6.+ and haven’t noticed any problems using it. Keep up the great work!
