Launching Control Panel from website

In a scenario when user logs in from site/index page using member module login, for a member Group I need to create a link to display View Member page of Contol Panel (Admin -> Members and Groups -> View Members). I am using Session and Cookie settings for login. I am able to create a link with session Id. But on click of the link control panel is launched and asks to login again. it is not directly logging in the control panel. And once I can directly get the logged in control panel I need to launch View Member page directly. Please help.
