Module for register and sign on?

For members to login on the front-end of the site, you should use the Login Form Tag.

I personally use the User Module from Solspace that you mention. It’s not inexpensive, but I think it’s more than worth it. You also have the option of customizing the member templates, which you can find here: CP Home › Admin › Members and Groups › Member Profile Templates

Hopefully, some others will chime in with their suggestions.

Off-topic, whilst waiting for a response from solspace. When you purchase a module from Solspace, do you get to use this module on all your web sites? Or is this a pay-per-website module?

Solspace License Agreement

One license grants the right to perform one installation of the Software. Each additional installation of the Software requires an additional purchased license.

That said, you would be best to address your questions directly to the author of the software, of course. =)

I also need the module to allow members to edit their profile. Can this module do this?

kriz, we really are in no position to answer detailed questions about Solspace’s modules. Have you tried their forums? That said, EE’s regular member module allows users to edit their profile.

Thanks Ingmar, are you referring to EE’s member manager module? I dont think this can be used to edit a members profile via the front-end instead of the CP
