Using Solpace’s Gallery Extended 2.0.2, you can create a Photo Gallery stand alone entry form that allows multiple images to be uploaded. Does anyone know if there is a way to provide a unique caption for each image that is uploaded? For example:

If you are uploading multiple images in the same form, the names of the image fields are image1, image2, image3, etc… Is there a way to have caption1, caption2, caption3, etc… for those respective image’s captions?

Thanks!

You’d be best to post this at solspace.com’s forums, Dabbledoo. =)

Well you should be able to label the caption fields exactly as written above

name=”caption1” name=”caption2”

Awesome! Honestly I haven’t tried it, I figured I’d ask before I messed with our production galleries… I’ll give it a try now. Thanks again. Much appreciated.

Ok good. I was worried that it wasn’t working for you. It should be fine. That’s actually the logical model. You can do the same with title and custom fields and junk. title1, title2, title3.

GX2 is my favorite module. But I think I am a geek because it doesn’t sell all that well.

Let me know if it chokes.

I would definitely mention that you can do that for any of the fields in the documentation (unless you already did and I missed it). All I saw in your doc was that you could do it for images, so I figured you couldn’t do it for caption.

I’ll let you know if there are any problems. Thanks for the response.

That could be cause few know about it and its fantastic capabilities. You need to put it in a full page ad in the New York Times and tell everyone what it does including making them younger, richer, and famous, and not using it leads to poverty and dissapointment in life……

I’ve been to Solspace’s site, but can’t find a link to download Gallery Extended 2.0. Can someone (Solspace?) provide it ? I want to see if I can do the following: http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/62602/

I’ll keep hunting, but I’ve looked for some time, and hoping someone can assist …

NEVER MIND, I had to click on the link for ‘List View’, versus ‘Feature View’ at: http://www.solspace.com/software/list/c/modules/

Solspace, are there any issues integrating it with EE 1.6.0 ? I assume not, but thought I’d ask before I paid the $49.95 - thx
