Are there any hooks for the CP login screen? If so, what could I use that is similar to “show_full_control_panel_end” that would allow me to mess with the HTML? Or is there another easy (heh, maybe not easy) way to modify that screen (keeping all the EE info on it, of course). I’d like to make some minor tweaks to differentiate clients and do some basic branding for each client install.
I’ve attached a pic of a basic thing I’d like to do on the Control Panel login screen. Either that or allow an extension like Add Sitename to access the top of the login page as well as the top of the inner Control Panel pages. If there isn’t a hook for this sort of thing, is there a good, simple way to “hack” the CP login screen?
The login screens are sort of barren and anonymous, so I’m thinking the thing to do if I want to “brand” the login page is to make a totally custom one that either goes to stand alone forms or the Control Panel based on the level of control that user has?
Masuga,
There is currently no hook for what you are wanting to do. Though I’m not entirely sure why a slightly customized CP theme isn’t a workable solution.
Another possibility would be to turn off the Sessions requirement for the CP and then use the normal member side login (which you can style however you want) and have it redirect to the CP after login.

Thread’s a couple of days old now, just wanted to know if you guys were thinking about something like this. I played around with the default cp_theme css and the cp.login.php file today and got this result:
