Just wanted to say I’ve been using this module for a few weeks now and it’s excellent. The documentation could use a bit more clarification and a couple more examples, but otherwise I’m quite happy with it.

Thanks Les,

You’re right. Across the board we want to raise the bar on documentation at Solspace. I hear the same from many people. We have several things in mind that should help out and hope to roll those out soon.

Hi there,

I’ve also had a few issues in getting this working (due to my novice EE skills…).

I’ve tried copying and pasting some of the code here and linked to on solspace’s website, but I can’t seem to get it to work.

Could someone please just let me know what and where I need to add to the snippet of code below to get this working place? I’ve removed all styling to keep it simple. The keywords at the moment just displays the keywords/tags separated by semi-colons. I wanted to use ‘marker=tags’ as my identifier for the tags. I have setup the module fine and assigned it to the keywords field etc. I just wonder what I need o add around the keywords tag below (or within the entries tag?) to turn these keywords into clickable links?

{exp:tag:entries marker="tags" weblog="gallery"}
<a href="http://{title_permalink=image/index}">phpThumb/phpThumb.php?src=/images/uploads/gallery/{image_url}&h=70&fltr;[]=wmi|watermark.png|C|70“ height=</a>
{title}
{keywords}
{/exp:tag:entries}

Thanks,

Ste

Ste,

May I suggest you come over to Solspace’s support forums, and we try to help you there? No sense in adding to this already rather long thread, I think.

I will do Ingmar - I didn’t even realise they had a forum! …Ahh, I see it hidden in the footer on their website… 😊

Thanks,

Ste

I know this topic is somewhat long gone, but I can’t seem to figure out from the various posts if Solspace Tags module can be used with a pre-existing field. For example, we have a client that has a field ‘keywords’ in their system. It’s already populated in about 75% of their 2000+ articles. Could I use Tags on that specific field, or not?

Also, if I purchase 1.1.6 now, is their an upgrade path to Tags 2.0 since its in beta now?

You can use the harvest feature in Tag 2 to make those into Tags for the Tag module. I’d recommend posting over on Solspace’s forums for more details. =)
