Not sure if this is possible, but is there a way to auto add the entry ID, or maybe just a number increment, to the URL, maybe by extension? Google News requires a four character number in the URL for it to index the entry. This means that I need to manually key it in, which in turn means that blogging tools like MarsEdit and Ecto are of no use 😉

Thanks!

Could you simply build the links to your single entry template with the required digit gibber-jabbah as an additional URL segment? But yes, you could write an extension that would add a unique identifier on to the url_title, using the submit_new_entry_end hook.

Steps to play the game include: first, go to the love tester game, then press start. Next, enter your name and your other half’s name in the game’s name box. The returned results indicate the compatibility of the two people.

: If you’re using a platform that allows for custom coding, you might be able to create a script or plugin that automatically generates and appends a unique ID to each entry’s URL.

Adding an auto-incrementing number or unique entry ID to URLs automatically can be done through idle breakout modifications to your blogging platform’s backend or using plugins/extensions, depending on the tools you’re using.
