Required Field Add-on Idea

so, think financial site. Marketing page for “401k Offerings”. Regulation/compliance is such that EVERY edit, and instance of rendered page, needs to be logged

probably better use for addon than a core feature

remember pursuing it, but not sure it was viable (idk)

I have in the past just added a general “Author Notes” field (a text area field) to a channel … this was NOT required … and then trained the authors to add a note on significant changes (ie not a spelling mistake, but a larger text change).

could see a hybrid of Notes and a Text field

Seems Highlander does so much of what is needed

Yea I think I’m following, it might be useful to add a message field on the entry versioning table and make it so you could require it on a channel?

log every change apart from entry, and display history with text box on page 🤔
