CartThrob Correctly Adjust Inventory When "Split multiple quantities into single items" is set to "Yes"

Hello! Is there a way to have CartThrob update a product’s inventory correctly when “Split multiple quantities into single items” is set to “Yes”?

In our use case, visitors will be purchasing tickets to various events. We need to collect a first name and last name for each ticket. So if someone purchases 3 tickets to Event One, we need to collect a name for each of the three tickets. It seems that adding that info to each ticket on the cart page is the most user-friendly method.

However, currently only 1 item is subtracted from an event’s inventory when someone purchases multiple tickets to that event in the same transaction.
