I'm getting an unlicensed badge on my Freeform add-on

How Do I?

Freeform (and other add-ons) now use native ExpressionEngine license validation. If your add-on is showing as unlicensed on your site’s Add-ons page, you may need to link it to your site on ExpressionEngine.com. It takes just a few steps.

First, make sure you have added your site on the EE Sites Management page. Include your URL and if you have a development site, include that URL. Make sure the license number for the site is entered into your V6 or v7 site control panel in Sites- General Settings ‘Site License Key’ field.

If you have the site entered on the Site Manager page, you just need to make sure your Freeform license is attached to it. If it’s not, you can find the full list of add-ons on the Add-ons Licenses page page and attach your Freeform purchase to your site.

Give it 5 minutes or so for the cache to expire on your site (logging out of your site and back in can speed this up), and your add-on should no longer show as unlicensed.

If you have any trouble with it, drop us an email to [email protected] and we’ll be happy to get you squared away.
