Forgotten Password form not sending an email
How Do I?
I am trying to set up the forgetten password form - but it is not sending an email to the address. The email system works fine and the email is a vaild one - the form is not sending an email.
How do I set the form to use the “User – Forgotten password instructions”? What is the path to reference that template, since it is not obvious what template group it belongs to and there are spaces in its name - so how would I reference that email template to be used in the forgotten password form?

Not sure what version of EE your running. But in 7 (I believe 6 as well) you can find them in Templates -> (then under the “System Templates” heading) Email.
Your looking for the “User – Forgotten password instructions” template there.
What version of EE are you running?

Hi Tom - many thanks for your reply. I have sorted the issue now. I’m running version 7. The docs confused me a bit because the example form was referencing the legacy templates in the form tag (“email_template=”etc etc”). The problem I had was that while testing the form, the user account was still logged in, and it said that an email would not be sent if the user was logged in while filling in the forgotten password form. I got it to work yesterday - but thanks for taking the time to reply. Ben
