EEConf 2024 is around the corner! EEConf 2024
Hey there! I’ve been following the thread with great interest, especially since the update to 7.3.14 seemed to have shuffled the way upload directories are displayed. It’s a small change, but for those of us who rely on a streamlined workflow, it feels like a big shake-up. Reminds me of a time when I was working on a project, and a minor update changed the entire layout of a tool I used daily. Took me a while to get my bearings! In trying to find a workaround, I stumbled upon a tool https://pdfflex.com/ that has been a lifesaver in managing my project files more efficiently. It offers a suite of PDF management tools that are incredibly user-friendly. I found it particularly helpful for organizing my documents and files, which, like our upload directories, can sometimes get a bit unruly.
As I know, there is no built-in feature in EE to change this display order or allow manual rearrangement of upload directories. I think you can rename your upload directories using alphanumeric names that reflect the desired display order. For example, you can add a prefix or numbering system to the directory names to enforce alphabetical sorting. Keep in mind that renaming directories may require updating relevant references throughout your website or EE configuration to ensure everything continues to function correctly.
