Redactor RTE rendering twice with inline css

Hello, I have a Readctor RTE as a field for one of my entries. Every time I try and add inline css, either through the code or simply by changing the text color or something, the entire text is rendered at the top of the document. If there is no inline css it works as expected.

Has anyone else run into this problem, and is there a way to fix it?

I guess I should mention, the text rendered at the top of the document does not contain any css, it just appears to be a text node. The actual place where my entry field is being rendered is correct.

Edit: I found another thread with a similar problem: https://expressionengine.com/forums/topic/253626/text-breaks-in-a-rich-text-field-redactor-full-whenever-quotes-are-used-or-links-add

My page isn’t breaking completely, but if I use double quotes, the problem occurs. Single quotes it will work, but if I save a gain it’s reverted to double quotes and breaks.

May not apply to your issue directly - but there are some known issues with EE’s RTE fields if you have both Wygwam and RTE active concurrently. One of these is related to pasting in text - you get two copies of whatever you paste. This sounds quite similar to the issue you are reporting. FWIW EE7.4.0 updates to using RedactorX - and this is seemingly immune from these issues (but has some other implementation bugs yet to be fixed). What to do? One option is to use Wygwam rather than the built in RTE. HTH
