Hello, I’m trying to install an addon that was initially intended for an older version of EE but it is compatible with EE7. So it has a folder that needs to be added to user/addons and a folder that needs to be added to users/themes. I can’t find a themes folder in my system folder.
The themes folder referred to is usually within the web root folder (typically called something like public_html
).
Within that folder you will find two sub-folders - ee
and user
- the theme folder you are trying to install needs to be placed within the user
folder

In ExpressionEngine 7 (elastic man), the folder structure has undergone some changes compared to previous versions. The “themes” folder has been renamed to “views” in EE7. The “views” folder contains the templates and template files used for custom themes.
