Contact Form Email Address Change
How Do I?
We bought a company called RadonX, who built a website using Expression Engine. We have the site credentials to manage the site. Our only issue is that we do not know how to change the email address that receives the inquiries from the “Contact Us” Form on our the website radonhiddendangers.com.
The email address that is on there is not ours so we need to change where the inquiries go by entering a new email address there for when people fill out the Contact Form.
Normally the email form will have a recipients= parameter such as.
{exp:email:contact_form user_recipients="no" recipients="admin@example.com" charset="utf-8"}
Try to find the template the form appears in and edit the recipients= value.
Thanks Rob - I think the template is embedded and can’t find it. It appears to be V2.9.2 which is old I’m sure! Not sure how to get this done - I’d be better off eliminating the form altogether than leaving it there with a bad email address.
In the control panel templates area you can search in templates to find matches, if you search for “exp✉️contact_form” it should bring back matching templates.
Test the contact form by filling it out and submitting it to ensure that the inquiries are now being sent to the correct email address.
