How to change the channel that an entry is assigned to?

It seems like I used to be able to select an entry in the entries list, and change or edit the channel from the dropdown selector? It’s been a while. There’s got to be a way to do this … right?
Hello, It is easy to do as you suggested, however, the one caveat to that is that the channels must be identical - or at least, all the fields available in the original entry’s channel, must be available in the new one.

Also, the category groups assigned to both channels must be the same. And, used to be that the Statuses assigned to both had to be the same, but I’m not sure if that is also still required.

ExpressionEngine doesn’t currently allow changing an entry’s channel directly through the entry list dropdown selector anymore. You can utilize the Channel Entries tag with specific parameters to achieve a similar effect. This Wordle Unlimited method is more suited for programmatic changes or specific scenarios.
