EEConf 2024 is around the corner! EEConf 2024
Hi,
When using Freeform dynamic recipients. And some recipients share same e-mailaddress. Freeform will send multiple e-mails. So for example:
Label - E-mail Gary - gary@mail.com Fred - fred@mail.com Harry - info@mail.com Anne - info@mail.com
When Anne or Harry is choosen from the form, it will send 2 e-mails to both harry and anne, but i want to show the label in the notification so “Harry” and just send only one e-mail to info@mail.com.
Any clue someone?
Thanks in advance.
Wessel
Unfortunately this has to do with how Freeform was built and they basically said it’s not going to be fixed. If the mail.com here happens to use Gmail they could use info+1@mail.com and info+2@mail.com, but if not, there’s not much else you can do besides setup alias email accounts to keep that unique. I ran into this same thing and had to switch to use EE Harbor Forms, but that brought it’s own set of challenges.
I ran into the same problem a while back.
My solution was to use alias email addresses for the duplicates in the recipients list and use server side forwarding to a single email box.
So in your case:
Gary - gary@mail.com Fred - fred@mail.com Harry - harryalias@mail.com (gets forwarded to info@mail.com) Anne - annealias@mail.com (gets forwarded to info@mail.com)
The upkeep of a blog can provide an array of advantages. I found great delight in the process of reading this exceptionally informative text. capybara clicker
