Hi, I’ve just logged into my site (it’s been a while) and I’m seeing I can upgrade to 6.4.4. Currently my site is using 6.06 and I’m wondering if I can just go through the upgrade without issues or if anybody else has done this had any issues? My webhost is currently using CPanel 102.0.26, PHP version: 7.4.33 if that has any baring on the upgrade.

Hi Jcoville,

Thanks for getting in touch about this. You should be in good shape to run the update!

I would recommend updating as well, as there are several security issues between 6.0.6 and 6.4.4

Thanks,

-Tom Jaeger

Before upgrading, it’s important to create a backup of your site and database in case anything goes wrong during the upgrade process. You should also review the release notes for each version of ExpressionEngine that you will be upgrading through, to ensure that there are no breaking changes or other issues that may affect your site.

You should always back up your site and database before doing an update, just in case anything goes wrong. To make sure there are no breaking changes or other problems that might damage your site, you should also study the release notes for each version of ExpressionEngine that you will be upgrading through.
