Does EE 7 support WebP transparency?

When I try to upload webp files with transparency through the control panel the system converts the background to black. Does anyone know why?

I am not sure about this, but i am sure https://expressionengine.com/add-ons/jcogs-image does support transparancy and a whole lot more!

Have you tried to upload the same image via FTP and see if it makes a difference?

I bet you’ll have to stick with what works. Maybe some ee stuff will see that post and help you out.
