How Do I?

Hi, I’ve never used structure before. Having installed EE7 I thought I’d give it a try.

I usually structure my builds like:

Channels

  • Blog
  • Case studies

Template groups

  • blog
  • case-studies

Templates

  • index: Listing template that displays all entries in that channel with a link to the article detail template.
  • article: Detail template

Current structure is via template groups

  • domain.com/blog/article/url_title
  • domain.com/case-studies/article/url_title

I sometimes use template routes to remove ‘article’ from the url.

My question is, would structure be a better option to create the pages?

I’ve had a look at the documentation and tried to create pages but I can’t seem to achieve similar results as using template groups.

Thanks Wayne.

Structure is better than pages.

Create a Page that page may consist of many assets and listings too.

i think thats how it works but yeah, I would prefer if there is any video tutorial for that.
