I just upgraded from 5.4 to 6.3.5 and noticed what seems like an odd glitch. The comment_total tag no longer displays anything if there are no comments. It used to display ‘0’.

The tag works fine if there are comments and shows the number correctly.

I suppose I could work around this using a conditional, but it seems odd that the output of the tag has changed in this way.

Has anyone else noticed this?

basketbros, This might be a result of a dependent plugin or theme that escaped testing, or it could be an inadvertent regression brought about by WordPress 6.3. Sometimes bugs manage to get through. Try rolling back to version 5.4 or the oldest 6.x version to see whether the problem is fixed.
