Hi all,

It looks like the paths to files in the CMS have gone awry and I’m unable to upload/ delete media via EE, or update EE.

When I try to upload an image, for example, I get the following error message:

404: Item does not exist

Sorry, we could not find the item you are trying to access in the system.

URL: cp/files/upload/6

When trying to update the CMS version, I get this message:

Oops, looks like the updater couldn't complete.

We stopped on Preflight check.

Cannot get contents of path, the path is invalid: /var/sites/k/mywebsite.co.uk/public_html/themes/ee/

(worth noting that I have changed the alias/ name of the admin area folder, as recommended in the installation notes, also HTTPS is currently broken due the cert expiring).

Any ideas on how to remedy this before I have to do a full reinstall?!

I’m primarily a UX person and I’m putting this site together for a family member. Not a developer but I love structured content, so I’m an ExpressionEngine fanboy 😊.

Cheers!

Does /var/sites/k/mywebsite.co.uk/public_html/themes/ee/ exist on your server? Sounds like something has changed in your file structure. If so, you may also need to go change the paths to your upload directories as well.

Hi Andy,

Thanks for getting back. Had a DNS issue to see to in the meantime!!!

Here’s the file stucture on the server and a view of the image uploads folder… it looks right to me but clearly something isn’t matching up!

The images for example are all published at the URLs you’d expect!

Any tips would be much appreciated!

All the best,

Aaron
