Developer Log - Alert on dashboard?

Hi, I might be imagining this - but when a developer log was made, didn’t EE display an alert popup of flash message to the superadmin when they first logged in?

Therefore!Should this be happening?

If so, do I need to setup something else to make it show?

If not, not a problem, but it would be handy!

Final query. I am running an action and want to record success and failures to the log. My intention was success to the CP log, as these are not critical. And failures to the Dev Log, which would hopefully then be noticed sooner rather than later! Is this the best way, or would you advise something else?
