Legacy Member Profiles

How Do I?

In the documentation it informs that Legacy Member Profiles are obsolete since version 6 but are enabled if the forum module is detected. If memory serves me right, I think the Wiki Module also uses them.

Is this going to be true in some future? Or will the forum and wiki module be update, so the legacy profile pages can be disabled in the future?

The reason I ask this is that I would like to develop the member profiles using my own templates using the new Version 6 variables and disable the old profile pages, but I still require the module and wiki module. Having 2 profile pages makes it redundant and harder to maintain since now I need to watch out what info or data also appears in the legacy pages as I don’t want to expose some fields to the profile page to users.

Or maybe this will not change anywhere in the future. If that is the case, like the forum actually requires them, can some official developer inform about the future roadmap regarding this? In that case I will just disable or redirect the old profile pages or maybe just develop on them directly instead of my templates (not ideal).
