Logging in to admin gives "Deprecated - Function get_magic_quotes_gpc() is deprecated"

When logging into my clients admin area today, there are 7 of the same errors listed above the dashboard:
“Deprecated Function get_magic_quotes_gpc() is deprecated ee/legacy/core/Input.php, line 970
Severity: E_DEPRECATED”
Expression Engine version is 5.3.0
I’m guessing this may be as a result of a php upgrade by the hosting company? Can anyone suggest the best course of action?

It sounds like a PHP upgrade. This deprecation error was introduced in PHP7.4. I believe EE5.4 (and beyond) addressed this issue.
