I was wondering if it’s possible to have essentially a grandparent relationship. I know the following syntax doesn’t work, but something along the lines of
{exp:channel:entries channel="communities"}
{parents field="planRelatedToCommmunites"}
{parents:parents field="specificationRelatedToPlan"}
{parents:parents:title}
{/parents}
{/parents}
{/exp:channel:entries}
Where ‘plan’ is a parent to ‘communities,’ and ‘specification’ is a parent to ‘plan.’
So, I revisited this and realized that if I used a closing {/parents:parents} in my original example, that it seems to work, in case anyone else has run into this.
{exp:channel:entries channel="communities"}
{parents field="planRelatedToCommmunites"}
{parents:parents field="specificationRelatedToPlan"}
{parents:parents:title}
{/parents:parents}
{/parents}
{/exp:channel:entries}
