What is the most robust way to give members the option of having a paid subscription with their ee-account?

The subscription is intended to collect membership-fees for an NPO – all members have accounts registered in the eecms-site.

The NPO is based in ?? Switzerland with users mostly in CH and Germany, so normal ? Credit Card billing, PayPal, Apple Pay and – if possible – local Swiss payment services would be perfect.

The subscription should be automatically renewed on a monthly or annually basis – with a predefined or a freely selectable amount.

The subscription should be linked to the ?‍? ee-account and it is possible to «mark» the payed subscription accordingly in the public profile templates of the ee-account. Also, the details of the subscription – such as status and order history – should be visible in the EE-account/-profile.
