Login to Expression Engine directing me to error page

Hi, I’m desperate for some troubleshooting assistance - all volunteer run group with no staff or budget, so basically no paid tech support. We manage back end content with Expression Engine 4 that was set up for us by a paid consultant years ago. I’m trying to login to Expression Engine using our master account login and an editor login. Both get the same error (tried on different computers, different web browsers). No idea what the error log is telling me.
Message that appears: An error occurred. Sorry, the page you are looking for is currently unavailable. Please try again later. If you are the system administrator of this resource then you should check the error log for details. Faithfully yours, OpenResty.
Since we have no “system administrator” I don’t even know where to start figuring out the problem. http://nginx.org/en/docs/ngx_core_module.html#error_log
I’ve seen others reference this problem, any suggestions (in non-tech-speak)?
Without seeing the error, it’s a bit hard to know for sure whats going on. But It sounds like a server issue. I would recommend reaching out to your web host to see if they can fix it for you.
When is the last time this was working?
