I’ve just installed the 5.1.2 version, I made an index page in the default template group but the page can be open only by the Super Admin as long as he’s logged in. I make another template (not index) and this one can be viewed by anyone. I checked the member area and everyone has the right to see the site when online. What is look to me different from other versions is the fact that in Templates, if I click the Access tab, the section “Allowed member groups” is empty, no Member Groups are listed. It’s that normal? Thanks
Have a look at the template access documentation, that’s where you can control visitor access to templates based on member group. You’ll need to have the groups checked that you want to be able to access the pages that that template serves. Make sense?
Hi Derek, I cannot give access to the Member Groups because no Groups are displayed in Access section of the template. In my previous posting I was wrong, because I cannot see any page in browser if I’m not logged in as Super Admin. I checked any folders to see if some files has not be uploaded to the server, but looks like everything is there. Just one mention, the index.php is index2.php because there is already a living site, I’m working at the new one in background. But it’s not the first time I do that, there were no problem until now. Thanks for your answer
Sounds like you are missing your themes
folder. I bet if you look in your web inspector’s console you’ll see a number of errors. Most likely you have missing JavaScript, and saving the template with those React-based components missing is treating it as if you unchecked all the boxes. Redeploy your themes folder and double check file permissions on it, and you should be good.
Well, I uploaded again the folder ‘themes’ but the problem remains. I’m not sure what permission should be but everything in Control Panel looks fine. In Member area I can see the default Member Groups but not in the Access section of the Template. There is no errors. I don’t know what to do
