I am helping a business recover access to their site - they have ftp access, but not the user code and password for the admin module.
Can this be reset if you have ftp access?
This site dates back to 2013 I think?
Have you tried to recover the password with the “Forgotten Password” function? Is the email for the admin account not one belonging to your client? If not, you could try to access the database and change the email for the superadmin user to one you can access and then go through the forgotten password process again to get a reset link.
