Hello all, wondering whether there was an existing method to install EE on an Azure web app platform.
Have tried installation but we cant get past the basic installation page, it wont recognise the database details.
After doing a bit of digging, we found (although this is for Wordpress) that a tailored config file is required - assuming that this would be the case for EE too?

Anyone ever came across this before?
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks Scott
Have you tried the Server Wizard? We’ve helped some folks in support on that platform and like many “cloud” environments, it is not ideal for PHP/MySQL apps. I don’t have a list of all of the issues encountered, though you might be able to connect with a user with personal experience on Slack.
There would have to be an extremely compelling business reason for me personally to do anything other than recommend choosing any of the prolific and proven excellent hosting environments for PHP/MySQL apps like Wordpress and ExpressionEngine. That may change in the future if they acquire more customers needing that stack and improve things, but the latency to the database alone (or any “cloud” type environment with similar architecture) is too big of a negative for me to overcome.
