Hi, I just run the upgrade from 3.4.6 to 3.5.2 but then had the following exception “Addon of name query already registered. ProviderRegistry.php:31” After that I wasn’t able to access the admin page nor the site at all.

To at least be able to access the site, I renamed the “query” folder in /www/system/ee/EllisLab/Addons to something different, making it therefore unavailable to the system.

So now I’m able to access the site and it shows that I’m on v3.5.2 but I’m not sure whether the update really went through and the query module probably isn’t working, since I renamed the query folder.

Any ideas what the problem is or what I can do to fix this issue?

Thanks and regards

Just tried to re-run an update and faced the same issue, but this time with the “date” module. After some investigation, I found that the two modules (Query, Date) that should be located in “/www/system/ee/EllisLab/Addons” were duplicated in “/www/system/user/addons”, which most probably is the cause for the “already registered” message.

I don’t know yet why this has happened, but will investigate this further.

Do you have other folders in your system/user/addons that are not actually user add-ons? That folder shouldn’t be replaced when you perform an update, only system/ee and themes/ee, so you may double check that other folders were not also accidentally copied there.
