Auto generate the title and url title fields from other fields

For a event information channel I would like the titles to be created from 2 other data fields. url_title = {title}-{entry_date format="%j-%M-%Y"}

I have been using MX Title Control for EE2 but that’s not available for EE3 yet or may never be.

This feature is available out of the box on Craft, so I’m guessing that it must be a fairly common need for website builders.
