In EE v3 there are three links I would like to hide from clients, and one I would like to add.
Report Bug * New Ticket * User Guide
Those 3 links are going to make your life and mine very troublesome when my 500+ web publishers start clicking them.
They’ll fill up the bug reports with posts you don’t want to read.
They’ll not understand why the New Ticket button doesn’t go to my company, and they’ll think that I’m not accepting tickets from them, adding to their frustration.
They don’t “get” the user guide as it’s not specific to their needs. It confuses them because it has little or nothing to do with their publishing experience. The’ll call me after they’ve tried to past a contact form into a textarea and it’s crashed the whole page.
I want to be able to remove those links from the footer. And I recommend you let me.
I also want to be able to put my company’s contact information there. We do this with an accessory tab in all our sites now, and being able to add that info to the footer would be a good way to keep our brand and contact info in the CP.
Thank you for your consideration.
Really?.. you sent me digging Ingmar.
Ah.. found them in the Member Group settings. Only they are not available to Super Admins this way. So those few clients that I have with Super Admin Access will still have access to them.
It’s a start, but doesn’t replace previous functionality.
Thanks for brining that to my attention. Hadn’t yet created a new user group in our test site, so I hadn’t run across that yet.
Maybe something about those settings should go here:
