Third-party field types for member fields

I’d love to be able to use third party fields for member fields without the need to use profile:edit or zoo visitor
This would be awesome. I’m basically stuck right now between updating from ee2 to ee3 because I’m waiting for a member management tool to update to 3.0. Zoo visitor seems to be the only hope right now in my opinion since the might big robot guys got bought who knows what will happen to profile:edit.
But a native EE option is always preferred.
Indeed I’ve been suggesting this one for a while. It really goes hand in hand with a way to do all member output using normal EE templates.
+1 from us at Xynergy. The Zoo Visitor thing has turned into a nightmare for us. Used it initially because we needed member-specific grid fields, now we’re stuck not being able to upgrade without either a significant rewrite, losing functionality or making the admin experience convoluted & introducing likely user errors.
I’d definately add a +1 for this feature!
