How Do I?

Hi,

At this moment we are running a Magento based marketplace for downloadable products. We’ve a medium catalogue now but it will be increased. At this stage we are thinking to rebuild site because Magento is complex to customize and slow.

We stored downloadable products in S3 and we allow sellers to submit products to storefront. We also use memcached, redis and ElasticSearch everything hosted on Google Cloud.

Which is the best EE ECommerce extension for large catalogues? Around 30k products.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Thank you.

Jose

Hey there @restos,

If you’re still looking for information on good eCommerce options for ExpressionEngine, please take a look at this very recent thread: https://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/248342/

There’s some pretty comprehensive information shared there. The feedback about the addons CartThrob and Store will probably be of interest to you.

Take care, Reuben

If anyone is looking to transition their old Magento v1 sites across to EE / CartThrob, I’ve successfully achieved this with 3 of my clients. Shout if you want help or advice. https://www.ic360.com
