Multi-site deployment advice

Hi folks,

I am hoping to get advice on how to migrate a multi-site installation to an existing EE site.

In development, I have installed the 2nd site and now my client is ready to start adding their content. But I’m not sure how the deployment can work because the 1st website is already live and changing daily.

Are there any clever MSM migration tools? Is it a choice between entering content once in the live environment or manually entering the content multiple times in each environment.

How do the experts manage site deployments where the database is shared across multiple-sites?
