EE3 Beta 1: Can the included datatables.js version be updated?

Since EE2 the included datatables.js version has been a bit outdated.
Currently EE3 Beta 1 ships with version 1.6.2 while the latest version is 1.10.x. From what i can dig up it’s currently being used in the filemanager.
We use datatables in several addons but we are always forced to include a more up to date version of the library to use some very useful features/api.
I know it might be a little too late to update it, but it never hurts to ask.

We aren’t using datatables any more in EE 3.0, so I don’t think we’re going to update it. I think the file manager reference you found may be old code we haven’t removed yet. So I’d say if you need it, continue include it in your themes folder as we’ll probably end up removing it.
