Is this a bug or is this normal?

How Do I?

I’m not sure if this is a bug or a normal way to work with files in EE.

I want to upload images faster for wiki articles/edition, which means with FTP or SSH and then link them in articles.

For some reason this is not working.

When I upload the image manually from the Wiki page upload form, it works. I use the image tag and it displays the image.

But if I upload it directly to the server I see the filename and tag displayed instead. I sync the files and I can see it, edit it, etc, in the file manager from the admin side. But it will not work in the Wiki.

I also tried to upload the files directly from the build in File Manager as admin. Everything is fine, the image is uploaded as well but still it does not work in the Wiki. So using EE or uploading them directly to the server does not work.

It seems the only way the image will be displayed and recognized in any Wiki article is if I upload it trough the Wiki page manually one by one.

I hope this is a bug. There is no way to display the image and instead just the tag and filename is displayed. So I cannot use any file or image which is already uploaded in EE in any Wiki? It seems I have to re-upload the file with the Wiki in order for it to recognize it as a valid image.
