EE3: CP theme Buttons, Colors and Group headings

Hi guys,

Congrats on getting the EE3 Dev Preview out! A lot of the cleanup and grouping of things, responsive design, etc is exciting to see. With all these changes, there will obviously be a learning curve here. 😊

Anyway, there’s a few things that are “bothering” me a bit and thought I’d share them:

1) The main Submit buttons throughout the pages appear to blend in too much with the rest of the UI. I think it’d be better if they were easier to find like they are in EE2 (not suggesting pink, but perhaps not a light pastel color)

2) There seems to be an abundance of colors used throughout the CP. I feel like it’d be a little easier on the eyes if there was only 2 or 3 colours (including gray). Perhaps I’ll just get used to it, but it feels like my eyes wander all over the page. Also not particularly fond of the striped backgrounds.

3) The page titles / group headings on pages sort of seem lost in the page as well. I think if they could be a little more obvious it would help to make which page you’re on a little more obvious. I noticed some areas have a page title and some do not (it’s like the fieldset group heading becomes the title - those are the ones that especially seem to get lost). 😊

4) Maybe being nitpicky here, but including field types, or at least the native field types individually within the Add-On manager area consumes a lot of the “space”. I am all for combining everything, but perhaps default Fieldtypes should still be separate, or lumped as 1 single “add-on” (and if you so desire, have settings to enable/disable them individually in that “add-on’s” settings).

Thanks for your time 😊

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback, I’ll take it under advisement.
