php error from saving a channel layout

Saving a channel layout that has a couple of custom fields in and i got the above.
Running php 5.4.

I’m still getting this same error as well when saving layout and in Publish page (have got it through all developer preview versions including #4). I deleted one I created from DP1 and recreated one in DP4 and error returns.
Aside from default fields, I only have a Grid field and textarea field.
