Upgrading from 1.7.3 to 2.10.1

Hello:

I’m attempting to upgrade our 1.7.3 version to 2.10.1. I’ve followed ALL the directions in the upgrading from ee version 1 to 2 document. The problem arises when i got to the admin.php page. i get the welcome message, but when i click the continue button i get a blank browser screen (almost as if it freezes). There is not circling of the browser tab to indicate activity…

Help!

Are there any updates that i must perform between 1.7.3 and 2.10.1 (yesterday i successfully upgraded from 1.4.3 to 1.7.3, but today i cannot do any additional updates.

I’m very new to EE, therefore, please point me in the right direction as to where i can begin to troubleshoot?
